.....Just For Fun.....

"Sometimes there just isn't time to go off by myself and work on a painting but I always have a pen and paper close by. I have alot of fun with rhyming stories and have found great inspiration over the years from my own children. I've included some poems that I have alreadly illustrated and some that I'm thinking about illustrating. I 'll add more periodically so check back if you like. I hope you enjoy reading them - writing them is so much fun."

Clouds

I saw a bear wearing a hat

looking very silly and getting very fat!

Then all of a sudden, right before my eyes

the bear became a lion and began to shrink in size!

I closed my eyes then looked once more,

just as the lion was about to roar.

But before the roar came out of it's mouth,

the lion took off and headed South.

I saw dinosaurs and castles and dolphins at play,

until the clouds got wispy and floated away.

We have a master chef in our house

who makes cranberry relish and mountain grilled grouse.

She broils filets and smokes lake trout

with only the freshest ingredients no doubt.

She covers up chicken with mushrooms and spice

and serves it with sweet peas and hot curried rice.

My mother makes dishes with meat from the deli

but 'specially for me -

she makes peanut butter and jelly!
